Mike R. – Lead Technician

Mike has been on Thousand Oaks roofs for over two decades, and he is the person we send when a leak has been “fixed” twice by someone else and the homeowner just wants the truth. He is a GAF and CertainTeed certified installer, which matters when you are dealing with manufacturer warranty requirements, and he is the one who trains every new hire on how we flash a chimney in this climate. Off the clock, Mike rebuilds old dirt bikes and has a soft spot for springer spaniels.

Sarah T. – Senior Installer

Sarah runs our tear-off and installation jobs, and she is the reason our job sites are cleaner when we leave than when we arrived. She holds Owens Corning and Tamko installation certifications and has a particular knack for steep-pitch work, which is a genuine safety challenge on a lot of older Newbury Park and Westlake Village homes. Sarah keeps a photo album of every roof she has installed since 2012, and she can tell you the address of each one from memory.

Luis M. – Service Coordinator

Luis is the first voice most customers hear when they call Mercer Roofing Co Thousand Oaks, and he’s the one making sure a real human answers the phone day or night. He schedules every visit, sends the name and photo of each technician before they arrive, and makes sure the written price is in your hands before a single shingle moves. Luis grew up in Thousand Oaks, knows the difference between traffic on Moorpark Road at 8 a.m. versus 8:15 a.m., and still plays in a Sunday league baseball team.

Danny K. – Apprentice

Danny joined the crew two years ago after leaving a framing job in Simi Valley, and he is working toward his own manufacturer certifications under Mike’s supervision. He’s the one carrying bundles and learning how our clay-tile roofs behave differently from our asphalt-shingle roofs, one roof at a time. Danny is the first to volunteer for the early morning load-outs, and he can identify more bird species from a rooftop than anyone else on the team.
